How FRACTAL works
A launchpad on Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve on Solana where every coin trades against FRACTAL, and every coin can give birth to more. Launch a coin in one transaction; as it trades, its vault fills, and each time the vault crosses another 0.5 SOL, two new coins are launched as its children. They follow the same rule.
Operations
- 01
Launch
Fill in a name, ticker, image and links on the launch page. One transaction creates the token and its bonding-curve pool. Your browser generates the new mint key and signs first; your wallet signs and pays about 0.03 SOL in rent and network fees. Supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000, there is no mint authority, and metadata is immutable from the first block.
- 02
The bonding curve
Price rises as people buy and falls as they sell, along a curve every Fractal coin shares: one configuration for every coin, so every curve plays by the same rules. A coin's progress is how much of its graduation threshold has been raised, shown live on its page.
- 03
Paired with FRACTAL
FRACTAL was the first coin on the pad and is the only one priced in SOL. Every other coin, whether launched by a person or born from a split, is priced in FRACTAL. Its market is COIN / FRACTAL from launch to graduation and beyond.
- 04
Trading
Each coin page has its own trade panel. Pay in SOL and the trade runs through both curves in a single transaction, SOL → FRACTAL → coin, with the second hop spending only what the first is guaranteed to deliver. Or pay in FRACTAL directly. Sells mirror this. Because it trades the curves directly, a coin is tradeable the moment it launches, without waiting for an aggregator to index it. After graduation, trades route through Jupiter.
- 05
The vault
Every buy and sell pays a flat trading fee, and part of it fills that coin's own vault. The engine reads each pool's lifetime fees from the chain and values every new amount in SOL the moment it is observed, so a vault only ever goes up: a later price drop can't undo progress already made.
- 06
Splits
Each time a vault crosses another 0.5 SOL, the engine launches two new coins as that coin's children and pays for them out of the vault. FRACTAL splits too. The rule never switches off: a coin that keeps trading keeps splitting, and there is no cap on how deep or wide the tree can grow.
- 07
Graduation
When a curve fills, the pool migrates to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool that is still paired with FRACTAL. Its liquidity is permanently locked, and the same trading fee keeps filling the vault, so graduated coins keep splitting.
Coin stages
Every coin wears a stage. It is only a label over real on-chain state, derived from the curve's actual progress and graduation, never the other way round, so it can't overstate how close a coin is to graduating.
Separately, a coin is a community launch if a person launched it from the site, or a split if the engine launched it from a parent's vault. FRACTAL itself is the platform token.
The tree
Coins are named by where they sit. FRACTAL's children are A, B, C, … A's children are A1, A2, … and A1's are A1.1, A1.2, … Community launches join as direct children of FRACTAL.
Each split is one generation deeper than its parent. If every coin hit its next threshold at the same moment, the tree would triple each round: 1, 3, 9, 27, 81… In practice branches grow only where their own coin trades.
The engine
The Fractal engine runs continuously. On every pass it reads every pool, adds new coins launched from the site to the tree, claims trading fees, launches the splits each vault has earned, and migrates curves that have filled. It publishes a snapshot of the tree so the site can show splits, vaults and lineage. If it is ever offline, nothing is lost: fees keep accruing on-chain and are counted the moment it returns.
For builders
Everything on this site is served by a public, read-only JSON API: coins, trades, holders, candles, quotes and wallets. See the API reference.
